Just wanted to share my experience of engaging Emaps to work on my 535D just earlier this week.

I've only owned the vehicle for a couple of weeks (a 2007 LCI 535D Sport Touring), yet couldn't resist the tempting numbers and driveability gains that were talked of on this vehcile with a well implemented remap.

Thus I called and spoke to several "tuning companies", whos knowledge, or at least the confidence of that knowledge they imparted was far ranging. Some were clearly going to offer no more than an upload based upon default template while others had better grasp of what parameters could be changed, to what extent and with what interactions with other factors.

I settled on using Simon at Emaps, as he seemed knowledgeable, professional, and flexible in terms of what I was after as well as being able to travel to a location that suited me.
Having made the booking, a work requirement led to me needing to be out of the country at time of appointment, rather than rescheudle, I agreed Simon would continue as planned and I'd simply have to postpone my own road testing till I returned home the following day. So Simon arrived at my home, and my wife simply handed him the car key as requested (she was more than a little concerned prior to Simons arrival).

What to say - the vehicle is transformed, so much so that even my wife, who is typically not interested in power delivery, throttle repsonse etc has commented the car is smoother upon traffic driving and feels to have lost its "lag". Suggesting it was closer in drive feel now to our previous car a V8 lumped S4.

Over past couple of days I've had a chance to experience the drive over a variety of trips and conditions.
It really is superb in terms of driveability. It picks up without any hesitancy or slight delay that I could perceive previously. The power delivery feels almost endless, a brief run along quiet motorway this morning saw it pull from 60 through to well over 3 figures as quickly as any sensible drivig conditions would permit. So a few days of varied driving with more hooning than would be typical (this weather doesn't help with the enjoyment and getting the power down cleanly), I've still returned 34 mpg and managed to keep the smile from ear to ear.

Simon, my sincere thanks and appreciation for the work performed, whilst not the cheapest I could find, I have no hesitation recommending you to others, your results and customer service are more than worthy of the outstanding value for money you offer.

To give you an idea of the power on paper here's an independent dyno plot from a 335d I remapped that uses the same engine as the 535d, 286bhp stock.

This car made 285bhp at the wheels which equates to 345-350bhp at the flywheel and a perfect flat torque curve :cool
