I've just bought an ex-police, 2009 (lci) 330d manual touring, and despite being ex-police has been well-maintained and in good condition (apart from the interior which I'm completely replacing).

Being a police car, it's had it's suspension setup lowered and stiffened, which I don't particularly like - I'd rather glide along in comfort and refinement at my age.

What's the best way to get this done? Just find someone with a standard/soft setup and do a straight swap? I'm completely clueless as to options and costs?

Cheers,
Steve :)

I can't see it being lowered and stiffened

What it probably has is the msport suspension package on it.

The difference is it sits 15mm lower than a standard SE type suspension.
The difference in ride quality between both setup's is marginal.

What i would recommend would be to change the run flat tyres for normal tyres and carry a spare / can of foam
Its more likely the runflats that make it feel harsh as they are horrible horrible inventions
