I have been noticing a strange smell whenever the blowers or air con was operated.

Had a look today took out the pollen filter housings and found that three of the four drain pipes were blocked.

Cleaned them all out and i'm hoping this will cure it.

I assume the smell was coming from the trapped water and rotting vegetation.

Because the air-con and blower vents get damp, bacteria grow and cause the funny smells. It should get better now you have cleaned the drains out but the smell will come back...:frown
What you need is a disinfectant like this:

We use these at work and they are very good. No smells after..:thumbsup

Had the air con serviced and recharged about 4 weeks ago, so it's not that.

I'll give the deoderizer ago, got a trade card so should get it cheaper
