As far as Im aware Spax have a very good name overall..

Never heard a bad report. Hopefully someone can help who has had them on their Bimmer.

everybody sayin koni are the ones to go for?

you reckon its best to wait? :frown

Its all down to peoples personal preferences and experiences..

In my opinion both Koni and Spax are good makes. Koni are probably better suited to the BMW..

Whats the price difference?

They are rubbish - only intended for the max power crew who can only spend £10 p/week buying tat for their heaps.

We tried a Spax suspension kit as we got an offer from them as a distributor, so we thought we'd try one first before agreeing to anything - test car was one of our very own Audi A4 V6 TDI's.

It was a full adjustable shock & spring kit. After fitment, with all corners correctly adjusted and double check the car was lobsided. A few days of tinkering still didn't make the car sit right. The VAG performance specialists next door dropped by and said we did everything right as they helped work on the car to get it out quick to free up space. After ensuring we have not done anyting wrong, we removed the kit and returned it to Spax and declined their offer as a distributor.

Firstly remember, that if you buy cheap, you will buy twice!

Secondly there can be some good brands about without high price tags.

IMO, stick wth Boge (if you can source them, I got lucky), Eibach's, Bilstein. These are the only units that we fit and have never had a single issue with.

Somehow i dont think that max power crews are going to spend £600 on a suspension kit, when they can pay half that..
Especially if they can only afford £10 a week ;) :rofl

You do get what you pay for, but I think the £600 mark is average for a suspension kit. So I wouldnt really call Spax cheap.

Different people have different experiences, unfortunately some more lucky than others.

Have they said how long the Koni suspension will take?

well ive been told there expecting a batch into the uk on the 1st of april

the koni's are a grand and the spax's are 600.

its an impulse thing though.... want them now!!!! lol

Ive been looking at sum Bilstein shocks, good to hear that theyre worth the price:thumbsup

Thats quite a price difference though..
And you do get what you pay for..

Dont buy them just because you want them now, be patient and get what you want!
