Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a BMW 5 series but wondering whether to buy a petrol or diesel? I don't daily drive long distances but we do travel long at least once a month for places. Please, could you give me some ideas which one to look at?
520d crossed them while looking for 3rd car for a daughter, but she's tiny, so not for her, along the way realised some good low miles ones around with lots of toys and the 190bhp engine, the once a month long drive would be a good thing...
petrol all day long,,also yo do not say what size engine etc,,,,id got for a 535i or 530i,,also do not say what year,,if its from say 2013 then deffo petrol as they are a bit better on fuel etc,,and no dpf to worry about with a petrol car,,i have 2 dervs a 330d and a 335d but if i did your travels id have a 335i or 435i/535i
520d is flooded on streets with Uber drivers in London.
Big car under powered. If it must be a diesel the 5 series should be 3L diesel to make it feel like a luxury saloon.
Not sure how much the fuel bill would be to sift a 5 series via petrol 3L
If you are not a high mileage driver get a petrol. Preferably a 6 pot. Diesels tend to be more of a maintenance headache once out of the warranty period so not always the cheaper option they appear to be when new.
