Been looking at possible issues with low MPG and independent said possibly coolant temperatures were a bit low as perhaps 86C - sai should be more like 105 - 110 C . Does this sound correct as seems quite high ? Plus I have OBD2 tool with torque app and it is generally reporting around 89 - 93C a lot of the time which is higher than he said. So just wondering whether worth bothering to get two engine thermostats changed - one for EGR one for engine as cost could be £400. Or do you think he is telling porkies and actually my temperatures are OK for this engine ?
If it really is too cool then I guess would affect mpg as over fuelling and this could in the long term affect DPF EGR ?
Thanks
