Hi all, thought I would join the forum as I have purchased a bmw 318 saloon and would like to find out abit more about them, common faults, tips/tricks, subtle mods etc. its a 52 plate with only 63,000 miles on the clock with full service history, 12 months mot, 6 months tax etc. A real bargain for £2000 in my eyes. anyway here's a pic...

looks well specced. Ok they have a habit of munching suspension parts so be on the look out for that. The heater resistors fail. And that engine can have H/G problems don't worry about it just change the coolant if it hasn't been done for a few years. Also these cars rust in the rear arches so get em cleaned and waxoyl in therel.
