My F36 430d is in for the recall on Tuesday next week, i'll post back once I know what was replaced etc.

Mine was due in tomorrow, but they forgot to book me a courtesy car, so it's now re-booked for the 12th of September.

I rang bmw today and they said just the cooler but got the impression the person I was talking too had no clue. pleased it looks like a valve as well.

read other topic,,it's actually both,ive had my f31 330dx and my 640d done,both egr and cooler,i marked the old egr with a cross with marker pen,,but could of told easily as new one is shiny and a new sticker

i get taxi to and from,all paid for by bmw,i live 15 miles away from dealers

also,on my invoice for my 640d,it has all thats been fitted,,my f31 330d had nowt like that on invoice,,ie it says..11717822350 NX7 HT EGR was like £439.82,,,and according to part number,its just high temp egr cooler,part number for egr has 2 part numbers,,one is for exchange 11719886714,i assume this is what has been put on,altho why is it not on invoice,its deffo been changed etc,confusing to say the least,total for parts was £508,,pipe union/o ring/vac hose..2x 1.5 litre coolant etc etc

Got the car back today and new egr cooler and egr valve also. Pleased really as thinking it will be time to clean the egr valve soon so good result. Had a 220i as a loan car which was nice but prefer the 640

yeh,mines mapped out on my 640d anyway,not on my f31 330d
