I have all the paperwork for the previous owner having had the timing chain done with all the upgraded bits so no worries there one would think.
However, oil consumption has varied wildly. Recently it has been appalling. It's not burning any but the N42 splash it all over effect has been making it hard to pin down!
Today I found out what was wrong. This is definitely a new one on me!
The chain tensioner was HAND TIGHT instead of 65Nm. Not clever.
