Mine is a poverty spec 320 d es model with wind up rear windows , manual Aircon etc. registered Jan 2004. I don't appear to have heated wing mirrors, thought they would be standard across the range? Also my rear view mirror doesn't dim when I'm being blinded from behind, it's definitely not manual, no lever. Could these all be on the same fuse which has blown? What else could it be? Thanks

See above - should be standard for heated mirrors.

Fuses would be a good check - also check the front and rear sensors on the rear view mirrors to ensure they're clean.

Yeah, doesn't list the base spec ES models , I think it must not have heaters. The clown nose turns to dim rather than automatic which I found out tonight.

As thanatoid says, realoem probably the best bet here.

Nuclear option is to remove a wing mirror glass from its mounting and see whether there is an electrical harness/ wiring running to it. If you do decided to pull a glass, make sure you warm it with a hairdryer first to reduce the risk of breaking the plastic retainers.
