I guess the XF is newer (and, presumably, "improved") as it claims to meet Euro IV and V whereas the other oil only achieves Euro IV standards. I see the XF's flashpoint is a little higher, so maybe it really is improved rather than repackaged.

If there is only a modest price difference, I'd treat my baby to the XF, while believing the Trident to be perfectly adequate.
