I need to work on the 328i M52 motor I've got to replace my ailing one so I've bought a stand. Rather than re-invent the wheel, does anyone know what specific bolts (length and thread) I need to attach the motor to the stand? It's a Sealey ES450 in case it matters.

M12 x 90 and M12 x 50 are the bolt sizes that go into the block, see here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BG12&mospid=47431&btnr=23_0117&hg=23&fg=10

So you will need some M12 bolts with a 90 and 50 pitch, or use threaded bar and nuts :thumbsup

Thanks both, the pdf came with the stand, the part numbers refer to the supplied bolts that hold the arms to the centre piece. I'll see if I can find some M12 threaded bar.
