Recently moved to the dark side bought an M340d MHT xDrive moving over from a 335d F31 xDrive which was remapped by Evolve to 370hp and 750nm. Never wanted to by any kind of hybrid but almost no choice to get a suitably nippy oil burner nowadays. The M340 is much more refined and smoother and the economy is amazing. Feels much better made and a lot quieter too. You just can't believe how often it switches the engine off and freewheels during relaxed normal driving expecially as you hardly notice it. Remains to be seen how long the 48v batteries last in these things though I suppose.
I loved the performance of the 335d but have to say the although the M340d "only" has 340hp and 720nm out of the box it feels just as quick and even more effortless. Fast, smooth travelling and especially overtaking on A/B roads just using the low down torque is fantastic. That said as and when they can easily tune these models via the OBD port I will be tempted!......just for fun.
