looking to get some m3 mirrors for my 03 coupe ,i have electric memory seats so i would like the electric folding ones but the shop where i am getting them from needs to know if they are 6 pin or 12 pin connectors ,do i need to take off the door cards to find this out

I think you can just take off the backing trim thats above the door card (on inside side of mirror) and the connector will be there
