I have looked through the alfa romeo forums but to be honest they're unorganised full of rubish and no help what so ever! so i was hoping to find some help here! ;)

My friend has a Alfa 2ltr Twinspark spider (i think) and the part that keeps the door open when you open it has shattered in the cold weather, i just wanted to know if anyone had any experiance changing this part and how hard it was to do?

Thanks :hihi

If it's anything like the similar parts on BMW's then it'll be a piece of pi$$ to replace.

But it's an Alfa, so the engine will have to be removed.

My thoughts exactly

I used to own a modified 156 in sky blue and slammed and always found this forum very helpful but you need to take the time to search for the exact thread you are looking for
hope this helps
