Hi all I am just wondering I have bought a K&N air intake system for my E87 2006 116i sport, after fitting does this cause any issues with ECU and bring up any faults due to moving any sensors away from the main air filter box, any advice would be greatly received Thanks alot

I didn't have any issues though I wouldn't buy an intake again. I would just go with standard air box and a K&N the fit is much better . Just my two pennies.

On some bmw yes it can cause the air mass to read incorrectly as many kits I’ve seen don’t straighten out the airflow before the air mass meter

Also the oil in the K&N filters can damage the hot air element inside the Air mass meter
