Right, im looking to sell my 2005 320I, but before i do im after repairing the interior paint work on the drivers door handle which has flaked off mainly due to people wearing rings. As it only needs a bit of a touch up im wondering whether i can just go and buy the paint and do it myself. But obviously i would like all you guys input on what you think would be the best way? Please see attachement!

personally if your selling leave it. first thing you would need to spend approx £100+ on equipment i.e spray gun(£25+) air pressure unit(30+ depending on pressure size) primer, sand paper(not expensive but counts) sanding blocks then you will need to by looking at it as it's scratched all over and small repspray the whole lot (you could use a paint brush but will look shabby) you'll need a room where dust is minimal as you will get pimples. but like i said not worth doing if your selling IMO

just go to a bmw breakers yard and pick one up cheap:thumbsup

as craig says go to the breakers, but i don't see why a compressor would be neccesary, as if you wanted to spray it then rattle cans would do the job, not sure how well a colour match you'd get tho - prob be cheaper to buy new from stealers all in!

rattle cans look tacky and wouldent recomend using them on good quality cars (use them on escorts by all means)
