Hello,

I have been searching a lot, probably looked over it, but how do you install a basic subwoofer kit in your trunk? My car is a 2014 1 series. The battery is in the back. What I am searching for is simple: some more bass/thump.

I can't put a link here since this is my first post. The package I've seen is basically a subwoofer, amplifier and wiring kit. Does not need to be expensive. I have been in contact with audio shops here in Belgium. They all say around 200-300€ installation cost. That is +- as much as the kit I would buy itself. Hence why I would want to do it myself.

Youtube is not that helpful. Does anyone can explain better? Is it even possible? A shop told me I need an additional hi-low converter.

When I decode my vin, my car say's that I have this as multimedia:

Multimedia
S609A
Navigation System Professional
S698A
AREACODE 2
S6NHA
FREISPRECHEIN M USBSCHNITTSTELLE
S6WAA
INSTRUMENTENKOMBI M ERW UMF

So I assume I have the basic audio system.

Is it possible to install what I want? I saw some guy install it in his trunk where everything he needed to connect it to, was in the trunk. Do I have it like that too?

I realise that it might be farfetched and what not, though I wanna learn how to install it myself.

Thanks in advance,

Audio-noobie
