I got my remap done on my 320d lci and asked the tuner to disable the egr operation completely, but I want to check if this is indeed has been done, I have dis and inpa, is there a way I can check if it is disabled?

I have just had my m43 1.9 remap done by quantum tuning.Its a good job, sharper throttle response, freed up a few extra horses. That's something i intend on doing to. as far as i think its an E.G.R delete is needed. Its not difficult, just remove the egr and blank it off. If he has not removed it and put a blank in, then the gases are still free to pass through. the egr position sensor will still work ether way.
In a nutshell; with regard to EGR disabling unless the EGR vacuum solenoid has been mapped-out, the vacuum pipe should be blocked. (....and even if the EGR has been mapped-out, I would still block the pipe for safety's sake) If the pipe isn't blocked you have an air leak in the inlet tract that will cause weak mixture. Weak mixture is not good!Just leaving the tube open to the atmosphere is what causes the air leak.
