Hi I have an issue with my 2003 BMW E53 X5 3.0d the abs light is on and the speedometer is not working sometimes the abs light goes off and the speedo works but then comes back on again I scanned it and says abs sensor transmits no signal so I changed the abs sensor with a quality part but still the same any ideas what the issue could be.

Did you change the righr abs sensor.
You won't be the first to get the sides mixed up.
Also a squirt of wd in the plug just to make sure of a good contact.

That is the one that failed not so long ago on our e90 but the speedo was not affected.
But the abs light was intermittent and sensor was changed a few day later.
You live and learn every day even thoe i am not in the game now retired.
