My 530d xdrive with integral active steering and VDC feels like there is a top strut bearing or shock absorber failed/failing - based on a sense of vertical vibration from the front passenger side wheel.

  • replaced all four wheels and aligned
  • car has been checked over by BMW and they cant fault

Has anyone else experienced this? It feels unsettled...

Yes - new tyres, balanced and correct pressures

BMW still can't find anything

What I mean is,that I find the car will adapt the suspension according to the tyre settings in the idrive.
Nothing to do with tyre balancing or pressures. The idrive looks for summer or winter tyres and tyre size.

This is definitely a problem with the front left suspension or drivetrain - not an adaptation.

My g30 had bad vibrations at speed until I changed the tyre settings in the idrive.
Its not an adaptation, its a car setting and if the car don't get the correct setting, then things don't go smooth.
