HELP! Crank no start, with error code 249300

Hello all and hope all is well. I have a 2014 520d with the N47 engine. I was recently driving and the engine suddenly shut off and car went into park. When I try to start the car it just cranks forever but does not start. The only code upon diagnostic is 249300 stating that the rail pressure is too low on start.

Any help would be highly appreciated as my mind is all over the place right about what it could be, timing chain, injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter etc. Thank you all again

First check I would do is take cam sensor out and manually turn engine over by hand to see if it’s turning cams.
Usually it’s top chain that goes so fuel pump will still turn but it’s still worth a check as I have known primary chain failure.
Can you take control valve off HPFP and check for metal filings in the fuel?

I would stop things immediately and check the volume control valve for possible metal flakes.

There will be an issue somewhere as they don’t just stop like that and then fire up with easy start. I suspect you will have the issue again at some point

I have problem with my bmw 318d 2013 crank not start , no start with easy start I change fuel filter i open volume control from fuel pump pressure if ani thing metal but its clean ,

If it won’t start with easy start I would say it’s a timing issue, do as above and check top of engine is rotating when turning crank by hand
