I have just found out (having owned my X5 for over 6 months!) that there is no power in either of the 2 internal sockets?? I am travelling to see my gf this week and dont know the way and need my satnav but it wont last as long as I require without power!!

Is no power the norm? Is it an extra? Am I missing something?

The local dealer isnt open until Monday so I am hoping to fix it myself :confused

Have you got power going to the sockets?

Have you checked all the fuses?

Your lucky, my E39 530 has no rear outlets at all. Yet.

I have had the same problem on other cars and normaly its a fuse or the fact the keys are not in the ignition, or the engine not running. Its a way to protect the battery from ending up flat very quickly.
