Hey guys so I'm looking for some help. I have a front left headlight failure on my bmw e90 335d. It started off with parking side light then went to dip beam failure now entire left light isn't working. Checked fuses and replaced the headlight bulb but no luck. Any ideas.

So I know that there is power at the plug as my mate checked with an electrometer thing.

As in intermittent ... might pass a check but something worn and shorting when moving..

Nah so it's just off all the time. Wondering if I need to just buy and entire light and if I do will it come with all the parts not just the case

If you run a plain 12V to the unit, does it work - spare battery and couple of wires with clips, in past I've even used old electric golf trolley batteries - doesn't matter as long as you can verify it's a 12V source.

Could be a bad earth to the lamp unit - that would account for good supply to the plug and errors for each bulb
