You sure they've both blown and no just a fuse?? Highly unusual for both to go at the same time.

The Megane is definitely one of the worst, with the front indicators being impossible without front bumper removal.

We used to refuse to do them, along with the Modus, some KA's are fitted with the front bulkhead covering the lights, so the bumper and lights must be removed.

The focus I remember not being to bad, BMW are normally quite nice, the easiest being the older mini with the flip up bonnet!

Easiest headlight bulbs to change was in my XC90. Pull 2 pins and the whole headlight unit lifted out, change the bulb, 2 pins back in job done in 2 mins flat!! Best thing about the whole car really!!! :lol Worst job. changing the fuse for the 12v sockets! Lying in the drivers door on your back contorted under the steering wheel trying to get a torq wrench up into the footwell. Dismantle half the footwell to get to one fuse. Took 3/4s of an hour to change a fuse.

Standard bulbs yes, but "only" £5 off the top notch ones, which makes the BOGOF (when available) cheaper!

Fitted a set of the top Halfords ones to a friend's '97 Jag XJ6. Difference was amazing compared to standard bulbs, great amount of light on the road, and huge range, all without dazzle.

Fitted a set of the Ring 100% brighter to my E46, and they certainly are better than the glow worms which were in there originally, but the lights on the Jag still knock socks off the E46!

Guess a lot does depend on the headlight - the ones on the Jag are NOT clear lens for instance. Shame the Jag & E46 are not the same fitment - could have made for a good comparison in the same lights!

Just to let you know that the halfords trade card is not applicable with any other offer.

So if you requested to use it with the BOGOF offer they would tell you you couldnt do so.

As for the best bulbs, try the upgrade bulbs Here

Phillips or Osram are the better ones
