Has the box hd an oil/filter service at all.
A fault code scan with bmw kit will be of help.

yeh,,get adaptions read,,then send them to zf,,my foxwell can read adaptions as can carly etc,,,zf will send you results, seen it done,,my guess is on low fluid or clutch E at fault..check gearbox for signs of leaks, its common if not been serviced, although if you had of searched the forum you would have read this.

Got these ones this morning in s d which never happens but seems when driving slow maybe clutch slip would be my guess maybe, The gear box was not long out but garage said they couldn't find a problem with it so assuming they put new filter and oil in it.

Did anybody check if the oil is full in the box after putting it back.
One would assume that's procedure but who knows these days with garages cutting corners, I sent message to ex bmw specialist he's going to have a look at it and give the car a going over and plug in bmw software and tell me what exactly needs done once he's back from holiday has some time free as his garage is always busy he comes back on the 1st then he's booked up for a month or so, so a little wait but least it will get proper care and some one that knows the car inside out
