2017 1 Series 1.8 Sport.
We returned from holiday last week and whilst battery still held a charge it wasn’t sufficient to start the car. Charged battery via under bonnet terminals for 2 hours and everything worked fine.
2 days later the satnav froze and the iDrive became unresponsive. It came back to life again for 24 hours working properly but then the radio volume failed, although everything else worked.
It sorted itself out again yesterday with volume working ok, but now the system is totally dead. Tried the soft and hard resets but nothing happens. If I disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for an hour or so is it likely to cause other problems with the ECU’s etc.
Any help appreciated, and If necessary, could somebody point me in the direction of a specialist in the Leeds area.
