UPDATE 8/8/17

I am still getting 15-20 calls every week from people who have sent there water damaged ecu from there non running BMW to ecu testing repair companies who have charged them £50-£80 to look at it (30 seconds work to see its water damaged) and then offered the customer a cloned replacement ecu for £400-£600 that will not work

IF YOU DONT POST ON THE INTERNET HOW AND WHO YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THESE COMPANIES AND HOW THESE COMPANIES WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND AFTER YOU HAVE SENT THERE CLONED ECU BACK
OTHER BMW OWNERS WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AND THESE COMPANIES WILL CARRY ON DO THIS TO OTHER BMW OWNERS

UPDATE 20/11/15
ECU DOCTORS & ECU TESTING COMPANY
WILL CHARGE YOU £50-£80
JUST TO OPEN YOUR ECU TO TELL YOU THEY CAN'T FIX IT AS ITS BEEN WATER DAMAGED

I WILL LOOK AT YOUR ECU FOR FREE (YES FREE)TO STOP THESE COMPANIES RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF AND TAKING YOU FOR A RIDE

I WILL NEED YOU TO PUT YOU NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS ON YOUR ECU BEFORE YOU SEND IT

SEND TO THE ADDRESS BELOW WITH

ATT CHECK MY ECU FOR DAMAGE

We have been having a lot of 1st time customers sending us there DME or DDE ecu's after they have sent there BMW DME or DDE ecu to other ecu doctors or ecu testing company's only to be told by all of them that they can't repair or offer a replacement ecu and the only option is to buy a new ecu from the BMW dealers and have them program the new DME or DDE

Out of all the BMW DME or DDE ecu's we have been sent where the other ecu doctors or ecu testing company could not fix or offer a replacement ecu

we have been able to offer a 97% repair or replace BMW DME or DDE ecu that's works 1st time

Hi, sorry for bumping an old post but I just wondered if you still offer this service? I've got a suspect DME on my 335, the car runs absolutely fine except the oil level sensor shows as inactive. ISTA only shows a 2E7C BSD Comms Error code. I've reseated all connectors to the DME but still no change. A few people in the forums have recommended replacing the engine earth lead as that solved this odd error for them. I'm going to replace the earth lead on the engine but if that fails i suspect its the DME at fault. Have you ever seen this problem before? Damn those electronic dipsticks! :)

Yes if it's water damaged

But if you bring your car down to me I can fit and program one of my refurbished units for your car to prove if it your original Ecu cause of your problem

Another person getting ripped of by a well know ecu testing compony who supplied a second hand ecu that had just been painted

http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f69/hello-everyone-t487041/#/topics/487041?page=1

We supplied the customer with one of our refurbished ECU which he programmed to the car without any problems

The ecu company who supplied him the secondhand Ecu has only offered to give him back £200 (1/2 of what he paid them for a refurbished Ecu) if he sent the ecu back

There paint cans must be very expensive

My car won't start so I can't take it to a garage unless I pay through the teeth to get it towed. Problem is I can find a decent ECU Specialist near me (I'm in Birmingham)

I have located the ECU but I am having trouble removing it. I could send it so a specialist if you guys can recommend one.

I'm pretty sure the DDE ECU is at fault as all sensors from it are showing electronic faults and I've checked all the sensors (connectors, wiring etc). I think it's unlikely they all failed at the exact same time.

Can anyone recommend a ECU Specialist who is with mobile, or I am able to send the DDE ECU to (one I can remove it) to test/repair.

Or if anyone can spare a donor DDE ECU I can use to test and I am willing to buy it if it solves my issues. It's just that I don't want to buy a DDE when that it not the actual fault.

Any recommendations welcome

Thanks guys

I would not advise you not to send the ecu to a ecu testing company as they will not be able to test it correctly
They will say it's good and take your money

I always advise to test the ecu on a car as testing the ecu on a bench will miss a lot of things needed

Send me a pm with your vin number and ecus numbers
As I might have a ecu where I've taken the immobiliser off so you could fit this ecu and drive it down to us
