Only had my E92 for a week and the cigarette lighter (both in the arm rest and the ash tray) have never worked. Figured it was a blown fuse.

Just whipped out F8 (20A) from the fuse box and yep, it was bust.

Popped the new one in and still no power to either of the lighter sockets. Tried googling and searching the issue but all I can find are plonkers being told to replace the fuse. Really, who gave them a man card?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers.

Is the fuse that you replaced still good? I had a 5 pence piece stuck in my cigarette lighter which kept blowing the fuse.

HA! that'll do it.

Turns out I dodn't have the engine turned on which is annoying.

My E46 delivers power to the cigarette lighter when the ignition's off, I assumed the E92 would be the same. This is really annoying as now I can't leave things in the car to charge.
