I bought myself a 6 cd changer thinking it would just be a plug in job. How wrong can you be ? I can manage the fibre optic wiring but have I really got to give a dealer £120 just to tell the car it's now got a cd changer ?

Depends what you have in your car already and what changer you needed, if you have business you can add one fairly easily, if you have the professional and other most bus devices you will need to add the most cd changer and code the car. (Quoted from another post)

I'm doing this too. You need the CD changer prep wiring in the boot and then code it to the car as well as the bracket.

I would recomment looking at realoem for part numbers and then code it yourself or find someone who can code it for you.

Hi
Just done the same as you , i have a 2010 e91 , bought a cd changer and plugged in the plug in the boot and also had the code programmed in by a garage and the i drive still doesn't recognise the changer ..
About to give up
