I recently purchased a 2010 E91 335i LCI sport manual touring with the N55 engine. It's previously been to Birds Auto for a B3 conversion, quaife, bilstein suspension, arbs and a tune. I've been told by birds that this is an "additional ECU" as they could not map the N55 ecu at the time. I was looking to fit a decat or sport cat (eg. 200 cel Wagner) but I'm not sure if I'd need to remove the current tuning measures and have the car remapped to benefit? I know that the sport cats don't guarantee no CEL but it would also be handy for MOTs to have a cat. Any advice would be appreciated!
