Check wiring and plugs at lamps for signs of burning, it’s not uncommon for rear lamp earth pins to suffer burn damage

 

That bulb that was bunrt before errors, pins underneath is black or burnt, i did clean it off by scraping on little, today i will sand it down and prime it back up if contact is low. Where is earth pin for back light or tail light in trunk?, or where is screw that take all earth wires to car body from trunk? I was trying to find it on internet, but only wires that are in the middle from car to trunk they show how to repair if wire is broken. Thank you for comment!

 

Earth on the bulb holder itself needs a second earth wire adding.

 

How you mean that it needs a second earth, where to connect sec. earth wire to bulb holder and where on car? can you show me some schematics or tell how to do that? Thanks for respond!

 

Connect it to the earth silver track on bulb holder and run it to the body.

 

google or search this forum,for bmw rear light earth fix,ive done it to a few cars from e series to f series.

 

Where do you connect it on holders? I will add pictures of same bulb holders like mine, where is grounding on them or earh?, if you can draw me on photo where to put secound earth wire to it, and when i connect secound earth wire, do i strip earth wire before connector and connect secound wire to that original gorund/earth wire or i need to ground it somewhere else? And do you recomend soldering secound wire to bulb holder or some other way to fixate it? Thank you for respon! I will try to do it today after you respond.

 

Is it best to put secound ground/earth on all lights or only at one that connector is burned visibly at earth pin?

 

It’s the one with red circle as it’s shared with all bulbs.
I normally use a small self tapper and a ring crimp, drill a small hole in the plastic housing to run wire through then connect other end to a good earthing point on the body

 

find a metal tab on holder, and put a spade on the end of wire and slide it on,,as said you will need to drill a hole to run the length of wire through the plastic housing.i used thicker wire than the original thickness,
