Hi all,

Had my E90 since august now bought on 127k for £2300 as a trade it and now its on about 140k already. When it came in i noticed the turbo whine and probably thought its on its way out, But still going strong and whine still hasnt got any worse all my miles are on motorway so assuming thats why. Ive notice you can buy cartridges I'm only assuming if i re built it with a new cartridge this would solve the whine? correct me if I'm wrong. BMW 118D 318D 122HP 90KW TF035 49135-05720 Turbocharger cartridge CHRA - londonturbos.co.uk question is are they hard to replace?

Thanks Alex

Commas and full stops would help in your post alex.

Good advice from Elber above. You could change all manner of components but if you can't identify the exact cause, replace the unit with a used one or get yours rebuilt.
Not as expensive as you think (and don't call BMW, you will shit yourself!)

Yes,you can replace yourself if you have decent axel stands and a good jack.
The main thing is to prime the turbo with fresh oil before you connect the oil supply and return pipes.

Pity the e90 don't take the reliable e46 m47 turbo.
