Car: BMW 1 Series, E87 120D Diesel
The power loss is intermittent. It happens most of the time when driving normal. It doesn't happen when I go from neutral with max acceleration and enter gear 1 (fast take off) and keep on speeding - but the moment I drive normal then it feels like it's limp for most periods of the journey. Going uphill causes me to go from 30mph to 10mph - I can see the RPM going backwards even with max acceleration on gear 1 and 2. Straight roads are fine most of the time and not noticeable, but any uphill and it feels like gravity is pulling me back. Sometimes it barely does 10mph on a straight road, I have to switch the engine off/on and take off fast. When theres power loss / limp, RPM struggles in gear but in neutral its fine.
So far I've had a full service done (air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil flush/change ... etc), replaced MAF sensor and intercooler hose (there was a small split).

- 3F25 - Charge Air Turbo Monitoring
- 3FF1 - Air Mass Flow Sensor
- 4587 - Fuel Filter
- 4530 - Charge Air Pressure Control Small Turbo Control Deviation
- 4212 - Glow Plug Cylinder 1 Activation
- Engine management light (Amber) - this went away after replacing MAF sensor and clearing codes but came back a few days later.
- Triangle with exclamation mark and arrow going around it (Amber) - this didn't go away after clearing codes.
