Only way to know what’s causing it is to read the codes with diagnostic equipment

You can save a lot of money if keeping the car by buying a code scanner.
Code scan is the first thing needed every time and at a garage that comes in at any ware from £50 to £150 a go.

Bit of an update here. The restraint system light still comes on in the morning but after the engine is warmed up for about 10 mins & switch ignition off then back on again the restraint system light goes out for the rest of the day. This has been happening for the past week. Any ideas?

 

You need diagnostics, no other way - INPA would do nicely
