Hi im a newby to this fourm so hello everyone. iv just brought my first bmw its an E46 330 convertible in topza blue with 19" alloy wheel and im am loving every minute of driving it (il post some pictures of it soon)

My first question about the car is im not to fond of the amber dash light on the dash and all the switches. has anyone on here ever changed them to led's i know its not to everyones taste but i really like the look of blue ones

i found some picture of what i want dose anyone know how hard it would be to do??

Thanks rob:)

I did this once on my Omega and changed it back within a week. You need to make sure the LED's aren't too bright or you will get bright spots behind the clocks instead of an even spread of light. As for actually changing the bulbs behind the dash, its easy enough to do or at least it was on the Omega although for the switches i bought ones that had already been converted to blue on ebay, might be worth a look.

I know what you mean E46Rob, i was looking at Red lights. You can buy the whole lot on ebay, just looks like a big hassle! Let me know if you do do it though!

like matt said. a lot of these led kits are cheap and will most likely cause uneven light distribution..you see them on many chavvy corsas and what nots...ewww

wow you dont hang around lol. i really would love to do it but bmw's are not a cheep car to fix if it goes worng. iv read some where that you have to solder resitors in aswell as the led's (not sure if tht is true) and there is alot of bulbs to change, if i had a spear set of clocks i would give it a go but for a minute im gonna have a dig around on other bmw forums and see what i can find

thanks everyone
