I'm trying to remove the breather hose, as shown in the pic, from the dipstick so I can pull the dipstick out (I'm replacing the sump). No matter what I try, I can't remove it. As the picture shows, there's a plastic bit which has some tabs around it. No amount of putting a screwdriver there to force those tabs, if that's the way you do it, works.
Any ideas on how to remove this?
