First things first I am only new here so I am not sure if I have posted this in the correct section, so apoligies if not.

I have been looking for an in dash satnav/ stereo system but to be honest I dont know where to start. I have been browsing on ebay but as I am not sure of how the system works or is set up I dont want to buy yet. Any advice appreciated:thumbsup

Best place to start will be Google...search for terms like BMW Mk4 Sat Nav, Business Sat nav, Professional Sat nav, etc..

Sounds like you're trying the same thing as me... Thread I started has a lot of good info. I have some manuals and stuff if you want a look at what the retrofit involves.
