Due to being skint and not being able to afford £130+ vat for a new airbag I sourced a pair from a breakers.

The issue I have is that 1 bag is from a sport and one isnt. If the bags are pulled right out one is longer than the other and the part numbers on each show one is off a sport and one of a non sport.

Now as we all know most breakers are liars and thieves but this particular one insists that the pair of bags came off the same car.

Has anyone any experience of sport and non sport bags being mixed?

Only 1 bag is split so I'll put the corresponding one from the breakers on.

Car is now sorted. Swapped the bag over on Sunday and the car is now fine.

Regarding your lean comment Ronnie, I dont think there would be an issue running non sport bags on a sport as the self leveling would surely compenstate for the difference. All that would happen is that the bag would be operating 15mm out of it's designed range which I cant see being an issue.

Heres a sport and non sport bag for anyone thats interested.

Sport bag on the right.

Everything looks the same except for the length of the bag itself.
