Has anyone found a way of cleaning up the aluminium suspension parts?. I've got my arches nice and clean, alloys cleaned and sealed. It's just those damn ugly looking suspension bits :eek.

Are you going for a concours entry?

Aluminium will look bad at this time of year.

Chrome plating? :hihi

Detailing is hard work at the moment. My car has not been washed for over a month.

I feel guilty about driving around with it caked in mud and road grime.
But, Christmas with the family comes first.

Just started doing the same on my new E34 Project, some hammerite works wonders - not the best pics I'm afraid, will to a step by step post on the other side

And one from my Baur earlier on in the year

It looks great!. I'm thinking this is probably the way I'm gonna have to go. Managed to get both front wheels of today, arches thoroughly degreased and scrubbed. Wheels have been detarred, polished and two coats of wax. Second coat left to dry overnight. It'll take awhile but I'm getting there!.
