guys

were the facelift cars fitted with larger front brakes? 324mm as opposed to my prefacelifts 296mm?
i find the standard set up on mine a bit weedy to be honest and was wondering is it calipers/carriers etc to change over or is it more detailed than that?

Early(>09/2000) E39's had 296mm X 22mm discs.

Later(09/2000>) had 324mm X 30mm discs.

You would need the calipers, pads, caliper clips and caliper frames to fit the later discs. Hubs are the same.

one more question, would they fit behind the roulettes i have at the mo? cant remember seeing many facelift SE's on them in 530d spec?

i lied:hihi one more question. is it the 530, 535 and 540 that all use the 324mm set up as well so i could use bits from them. gonna have to buy it all second hand you see.

Can't answer the wheel question. But yes 530 upwards is bigger brakes as far as I know, 525i is smaller
