Hi all, my brother in law has a suspected head gasket failure on his 523 E39. I need to get the car to a highly recommended independent or specialist to repair the car.

If it is a head gasket or head in the worst scenario we need to be able to trust the work.

Sorry don't know of one in E london - but there is one in North London who is very good - if the car needs to go on the back of a transporter does it matter where is goes as long as you get a good job done and a reasonable price?

It is BMERC in Barnet - the guy you need to speak to Erkan on 0208 441 3904 - just had my 530d Insp 1 done there for 240 squids - he quoted me 220 originally - nice bloke and honest.
He said that his tech had said nothing else needed doing to the car - so that was that - I was immpressed with his honesty. If you call him just mention that you were recommended to him.
