Hello all!

Just a quick one really, I have always had Milltek exhaust systems on my cars and always been impressed!

But, they only offer an exhaust for the 3.0/3.2 E36 M3....

I would like to get their CAT-Replacement pipe as well as CAT-Back system but will this fit on to the 328's manifold/downpipe?

Also: I have been thinking of doing a Group Buy with them (Done a few in the past on various other cars) Would anyone be interested?

im going to hazard a guess at the m3 has a larger diamater manifold and downpipe but it wouldnt be much trouble to fabricate a sleeve to join the 2 together, the other issue then would be the mounting points for the exaust, if the m3 takes a slightly different route then the exaust would need to be bent to suit, mounting the brackets is easy enough but if the pipe follows a different route then its probably more hassle than its worth.

Thats what I was thinking - to fab a conversion sleeve is not a problem.

But I can't see why the M3 exhaust would go in a different route to a normal one?!

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the info, lets hope it goes on as straight as it sounds

I would expect to be able to get:
1-9 systems - 20%
10 and above 25%

If we get a load of orders might be able to push it to 30%

no worries mate, i think it does from what i read on that site the m3 does have a larger diamater manifold but it shrinks in size to the downpipe so the m3 exaust should mate up to the 328 manifold, just make sure you replace any knackered rubbers before it goes back on

I cant offer you miltech but i can on scorpion.. And the M3 is a lot bigger than the 325/328 system's..

just incase this ever pops up again do you know if it is actually a straight swap or whats involved in the swap because from the research i done its supposed to be an easy swap, the m3 exaust is a lot heavier but will it mate up with the 328 manifold? are there other parts that need to be changed?
if you know about this then could you post as when other people search for that they will find this thread and have the answers.

Ron: I think I will be getting the M50 inlet and the Milltek de-cat and cat-back exhaust next month and will be tuning the car myself/with help... so I will grab some piccys/info then!

Just prepping the car for the Supercharger kit really.... Would like a Manifold too, might have a word with Milltek.. hmmm

Thanks for looking:thumbsup Remember the differerence between US and UK M3's. The US M3 is basically a warm M52 lump.
