[sierra rot e36]

Hi, i repaired the rust on the bottom off my boot lid and after rubbing it right back i found it was really bad not just at the bottom but under the lock panel aswell. i done quite a good job in the end of repairing it.

Now 6 months later im going to have a whole respray but i want to change the boot lid so the rust doesnt come through again. so really i dont want a second hand boot.

Does anyone know where i can get a new one from accept BMW (£360 + vat) :jaw-dropping

whats wrong with a 2nd hand one if your getting a respray anyway?

just thought ther about 12 years old now so theres more chance of it coming through??

I've been in a lot of breakers and apart from tourings I've seldom seen an E36 with a rusty boot, they seem to be one panel that doesn't rot unless damaged. A good secondhand one should do the job. There are loads out there so you can afford to be choosy!
