Hi ive got a E36 coupe sport 328i

Anyway the wheels seem to be rubbing when turning its not lowered. Anyway the tyre sizes are:

The front = 225/40R18 92V
The back = 225/40ZR18 92W

Are these the correct wheels/tyres? i thought it was upto 17inc you could get on a E36?

Its alot worse when going over speed ramps even at 2mph! :mad

I have a 318ti Compact and the wheels/tyres I have are (these arent standard):

Front 225/40/18
Rear 255/35/18

And I dont experience any wheel rub, are you sure the vehicle has not been lowered?? Other than that get your tracking checked.

you say seem to be rubbing...are there any marks on the tyres/inner wheel arch to support this theory?

its not been lowered and tracking been done know difference but when you turn wheels you can hear wheels rubbing on archs

If you are running an 18" wheel with an 8.5" width and the offset is not exact then you mat experience some rubbing on full lock.

Is it the inside of the wheel rubbing the metal inner arch? If so this can be corrected with a 3mm or 5mm spacer but be warned this may cause balance issues and you will need an alloy wheel specialist to confirm that you are still getting enough turns on the bolt. If not longer bolts will be required.
