Here are the pictures that you were looking for. relay part no. 61.36-8353447
this is the same part no. as the headlight relay should it be different? they were purchased from MotorMec. On the top of the foglight relay the no. is ++0816 43D. the headlight relay reads ++0804 72D . Ive even tried switching them with no luck. any thoughts?

The fogs used to work had the car 6 years the pin no. for both relays are 30,85,86,87,87b same as the old ones. I was having problems with the headlights not switching off and the foglights not switching on. The pins that i shorted are 30 & 87b with or without the keys in the ignition. Can't hear anything from the relay but it works with the headlights the back lights seem to be OK I get the odd tail light error on the check control but when i check them they are working.

You're shorting across the contact which means if the fogs don't work without this the relay is not operating.
First check fuse 22
With the main light switch on and the fog light switch on at the same time, the relay should operate.
If you have a multimeter we can tell you where to test for voltage.
If not it may be a dodgy main light switch.
Just out of interest do your high beams work ok

the fuses are all ok 15 and 22 no problems with them. I have a multimeter i can do a test just talk me through it, no problem with high beam working fine. Put main light switch on and fog button on no click from relay. my fogs used to come on with the side lights on. Thanks

Switch main light switch on and fog light switch on
With one lead on a good earth 12v should be present at the following
Fuse 22 (touch the lead on the metal bits on top of the fuse at both sides)
Green/yellow wire at back of main light switch
yellow/violet wire at back of main light switch
yellow/violet wire at back of fog light switch
Yellow/gray wire at back of fog light switch
Pin 86 of relay base.
Do them in any order thats easiest
Post back with any probs:thumbsup

Fuse 22 = both sides 11.38
Green/yellow main light switch = 11.34
yellow/violet main light switch = 2.7
yellow/violet fog light switch = 2.7
Yellow/gray fog light switch = 2.7
Pin 86 of relay base. = no steady reading
The rear fog light switch has 11.34 both wires
Hope this helps
