Hi guys,
I’ve got a BMW 1 Series Sport 118i 2016 model.
Twice the drivetrain light has came on and went off after a few miles. Took to my local garage that ran a diagnostic check on it. It showed the following codes;
134A02-Valvetronic Actuator Overload
130308-VANOS, Outlet Control Error, Position Not Reached
120408-Boost Pressure Control, Cut Off Pressure Rise Blocked
130F11-Exhaust Camshaft Sensor, Plausibilty Signal Failed
Took it to my local BMW garage for a diagnostic also and they have said that it needs a control unit software update and that’s what was causing it.
My mechanic seems to think it may be the timing chain…
Who to believe?
TIA
