Hello,

I replaced my drivers door actuator today as it wasn't working with the button and I had to use the key every time to lock/unlock the door. All was fine when testing the door locking/unlocking after fitment. Just popped out to the shops and when I came back to my car it would not work again, and not even with the key. I had to go in through the passenger side. Has actuator no.2 gone pop as well or have I done something silly? (i've checked the 4 fuses associated with the door locking also)

Thanks for any advice!

Fixed the problem. I had fitted the push button rod that pokes out of the top of the door that came with the new actuator I had purchased off of ebay. Turns out they were slightly different and this one was catching somewhere creating too much resistance for the actuator to work properly. Here's a pic of the two rods. The correct one for my 55 e90 saloon was the one on the right.
