Am trying to find out the most usual method of unberbody rust protection?

I read the aerosol can but it doesnt say anything about underbody use...

I would have to get it on a ramp but can sort that out

Yep. I use it. Goes hard after a while so doesn't come off in the rain. I found you have to shake the can for a while to get it working properly. Used it on brake lines amongst other things. No rust to date.

I use waxoyl, but in the pressure can :thumbsup
1 2.5ltr can is enough to do the complete underside, behing the sills and the wheel arches.
And once you have the can/sprayer, you only need to buy 5ltr top-up cans for future use

I got the clear tube, i have done both my rear arches and it appears fine, goes hard and stays on, i did think of doing my underbody but i am not too sure.

I have tried it, but it was crap. The nozzle blocked up really easily.
I now use the stuff you buy in a paint tin, much better.

You dont need a compressor

You buy a 'pressure can' of waxoyl, then you buy a pump/sprayer that goes with it. All you do is fit it to the can, pump it up and off you go :thumbsup

I spoke to a place called u-spanner today and they have a diy garage (been waiting for one round here forever)

Anyway he said that if I book a ramp he might have some left from a previous visitor
