For my 2003 E46 330i M-Sport Touring;

Looking for some advise as to whether its best to have the standard factory DISA set up, or an upgrade.

I get the idea of the upgrades but i worry the quality of them is cheap, compared to a genuine or OEM standard DISA that i know will give me another 50 to 100k miles.

Anyone with experience or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have preventive replaced oem disa by Vaico one.
What a regret, wihtin few years Vaico failed.
Luckily I didn't throw old one into wastebin.
Upgraded this one with x8r kit.
Still going strong.

OK thats great thanks, so a vote for the X8R kit.
My only concern with that is that it looks identical to the i6 kit, which i read bad things about the quality of.

i read that the flap is not correct size, its too big, and so and can stick in the aperture. This was the i6 version though, so hopefully the x8r is better.
Hopefully get some more opinions along soon.

If I remember I had purchased i6 vanos kit 8 years ago. No any fault and noises happy with this kit for good price.
